Our experience with Men's Therapy enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals.

Caring Connections Counselling
Our Treatment Focus

Our focus is to help men heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Founders Welcome

Welcome to Caring Connections Counselling, a trusted and compassionate counselling centre located in Etobicoke at Bloor St. West and Islington Ave.  I founded this practice because I saw in my own family how we were affected by mental health issues and how we grew closer through adversity.  We're dedicated to supporting men on their journey to emotional well-being and personal growth. At Caring Connections, we believe in the transformative power of men's therapy and strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where all clients, including men can explore their concerns, build resilience, and discover their inner strengths--Alan Choi MSW RSW, Founder of Caring Connections Counselling.

FAQ

Therapy for men is an issue close to my heart.  It can be really difficult to reach out for help when society says we should shut down our feelings and if we are struggling, then we just need to bear down and "try harder".  Sometimes there are issues which affect men differently than they affect women.  Parenthood, divorce and separation are things which are experienced very differently by men than by women.  Too often, when we struggle, we try to numb ourselves via substances such as alcohol or marijuana because we find the feelings overwhelming and we're only given permission by society to show anger.  We don't often have a safe space to express anxiety, loss, depression and pain  because we've been taught since a young age that showing vulnerability is weakness.  That isn't true and it makes it difficult for us to find support.  We have three men on our team, Henry Wong, Alfred Yau and me, Alan Choi who are of different generations.  To see our profiles and see if we might match with you, please click on our names above.
