Sarah Morrone, RP (Qualifying)
I specialize in supporting young adults, particularly those in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, as they navigate the challenges of depression and anxiety, including stress, overwhelm, and feelings of hopelessness. My approach is person-centered, socially just, and empathetic, integrating women’s issues and spirituality when appropriate to address unique needs.

My approach to therapy is centered on building a trusting, respectful relationship where I get to know what makes you uniquely YOU. I combine traditional therapeutic theories focused on self-exploration, awareness, and understanding, alongside methods that address thoughts and behaviors. With a strong emphasis on somatic experiences and mindfulness, I take an eclectic approach to my care.

I connect most with young adults working with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma or stress. You may find it hard to connect with other therapists or that no one would be able to understand the depths that constitute you, but I am willing to go there. Therapy can be scary because it illuminates parts of you that may be kept in the shadows, but it is this very light that we can use together to guide your healing and uncover what is needed for this unchartered change. Integrating the mind, body (and beyond), I will work to bring forward a mutual awareness of your holistic self, compassionately confront discrepancies and maladaptive ways of being, and be fully present and encouraging in this time of immense growth.

Anxiety and stress leave us feeling out of control in our own lives, hopeless, and misaligned with our authentic self. You may be trying your hardest to push through these emotions yet feel like you are walking in quicksand, sinking deeper into worry and overwhelm. You feel like everything you do doesn’t make a difference to the constant undercurrent of fear, tension, and sadness in your life. Yet, something led you to want to find clearance in the sandstorm, reconnect with your true self, and release this old story. You know there is a new chapter ahead of you that allows you to be fully present and feel connected to others and ultimately yourself. You're ready for a journey to seek contentment, purpose, and lasting relief while giving yourself compassion in this challenge. Most importantly, you are ready to learn yourself, learn from yourself, and unconditionally love yourself. I cannot wait to be your co-journeyer in this experience!
Having navigated periods of immense trauma and battling anxiety, being part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and living in a neurotypical world while being far from it, I understand the struggle you face and give you gratitude for taking this next step. You are more than your anxiety or struggle and your mental health doesn’t need to define you anymore. We can work together to reconnect the mind and body to find renewed purpose and reintegrate your truest self back into your life- I am here with you and for you. I would love to hear about what you want to get out of therapy and invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation!
